Production Blog: Editing Process Pt. 2

Hii blog, I’m back. Today, we again, went to Owen’s house to finalize the editing process. After we left his home yesterday, he decided to try and finish the editing. While he played around, he tweaked some of the stuff we had already collectively done as a group. When Michelle and I saw these changes we weren’t too happy. As a group we had to have a talk and discuss whether the changes looked better or worst for our type of film. These changes made the film look more mysterious rather than the horror look we were going for. After voting, we decided that it was best if we did not keep the changes but we kept the copy of this video to show our critics when the peer review came. We began the CapCut process all over again. Putting the clips in, editing the credits and putting the timing correctly. We decided on all of us to be involved and no group work to be done without all of us there. With everyone’s curfew, we attempted to fit all of the editing in the six hours we had. This meant all hands at work. Michelle was doing the credits and writing the styles of each while Owen and I searched for the best timing for the clips. When we finished this, we began looking at cool transitions that can be used to make our film look more horrifying. This transitions include fade outs and in’s, We also reviewed the guidelines and necessities for the final task on the Cambridge website. After reviewing we noticed everything was correct and we had met every requirement. By this time, I had already compromised my curfew so as a group we ended the progress there leaving us to only need the music eft. We will add the music next class period. Bye blog. I can’t wait to show you the final product!!
